Toning the body after weight loss?

Erika S asked:

I have been losing weight by cutting down on food and now I’m noticing my skin is getting “flabby” What would be a good way of doing a lot of natural movements to tone and shape. I just recently bought a 24 hour fitness membership so am eager to incorporate that into my toning. How about the classes?? But I am looking for something that’s not going to bring my heart rate up too high because I already do a lot of cardio at work.

Toning after losing weight is a question of working out the areas where you have lost the weight. I’m not an expert in exercise etc. by any means, but by way of illustration, to tone your stomach you need to work on your muscles there, meaning situps or crunches I would imagine. If it’s for the legs, for example, I would suggest use an exercise bike / swim but these are both predominantly cardio which you say you already do.

I’m not entirely sure if I’ve answered your question because of the “natural movements” – but I’ve tried, and hope this helps you at least somewhat.

Forget about the cardio–you do plenty??? The weight loss is to be congratulated. The weight loss was to be done with a a weight lifting workout program to keep the muscle. Your losing muscle and probable more than the fat your trying to lose…
Got a 24 hour thing — need a professional trainer. Or you will continue to get more flabby arms.and what ever $$$$..
