savagemelissa asked:

Here’s the deal… I have had 2 babies in 2 years. The oldest is 30 months now & youngest is 16 months. I’ve been working out a lot sense January, keeping track about 4-6 days a week. Eating very well, drinking lots of water… so far I’ve lost almost 50lbs. I’m 24 years old, 5″4 152 pounds. I would really like to get to 130lbs by Fall. I’m still planning on working out & eating good but I’m getting so discouraged, I feel like my body is wacked from having kids. I have been hearing a lot about 2 different type of weight loss drugs Alli & Phenodrine (sp?) & I’m starting to look into them. I’ve never actually looked into the medical side of weight loss, I’m more of a natural type girl but I’m sooo sick of this long road. I’m mostly worried about long term side effects & if it’s something that I would get off of & gain the weight back again? I don’t know… Has anyone used these drugs & can you tell me the good & the bad? Thank you!
Well the good thing is I have totally changed my lifestyle, with eating & exercise. I actually enjoy it now & I don’t think I will ever go back to the way I was before but it’s just so frustrating when I’m working my tail off & not seeing the results as fast as I want. I started working out 6 weeks post-partum,(16 months ago.) lost about 30 lbs in the first year then I hit a platu for a while, changed my exercise routine & as of Jaunary 2007 lost 20 more pounds. So I guess that’s pretty good but I want to get over this hump I’m at. 20lbs to go! Thanks for the input!

EILISHA asked:

I am trying to lose weight, 100lbs. I have already lost 16lbs through diet, moderation, and exercise (so please don’t say exercise and change diet per I’m already doing that).

The problem I’m having is trying to stay regular (don’t want to take harsh laxatives – correctol) while still losing weight (per I gain weight if I eat a lot of fiber – because of carbs intake (i think) – the doctor recommended a low-carb life style because of my PCOS).

Anyway, I am thinking of taking something like “flush the Fat with Internal Flush” (it’s all natural).

It has:
Proprietary blend
Psyllium Seed Powder
Flaxseed Powder
Cascara Sagrada Bark Powder
Rhubarb Root Powder
Goldenseal Root Powder
Ginger Root
Fennel Seed
Marshmallow Root
Slippery Elm Bark
Raspberry Leaves

I have taken products with psyllium husk in it before in the past and have not excessively ran to the bathroom like others describe with other products. Will this make me regular & help aid in weight loss?

Thanks

Anonymousgirl asked:

I am under 5′5″ and I weigh a heavy 150 lbs and I need to lose weight. I’ve been going to the gym more and have improved my lung and heart funcs., which my doctor is really impressed with- I’m motivated!. The trouble that I have is with eating, so I need to learn to eat less and new habits.
However I feel like the people close to me don’t want me to lose weight. I was once told that my weight gain (I used to be 125 lbs) was probably “natural and healthy”– gaining 30 pounds of fat is NOT natural OR healthy! I’m not losing weight to be the next Kate Moss, I am losing weight for me. But a lot of my friends and relatives tell me to not lose more than 5 pounds and so forth. At the same time, when I DID gain weight, they were always the ones to point it out and poke fun. What gives?
I plan on losing this weight over 6 or more months, so I’m not starving or anything. But I keep being told that I shouldn’t be thin because noone’s used to seeing me thin and other crap.
Yes, many of my family members are overweight– my mother is the only one who is a healthy thin body figure out of 9 kids.

And sorry laura but I think “The Secret” is a bunch of bull.
